Job description

Join our Team as a Engineering Co-op - Product Engineering (Mechanical)!
The Role:
We're seeking a motivated Engineering Co-op - Product Engineering (Mechanical) to join our team this January through August 2027! This Engineering Co-op - Product Engineering (Mechanical) offers hands-on experience in the material handling and manufacturing industry, where you'll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into mechanical product design, Creo, engineering change management, product validation, manufacturing support, root cause investigation, and cross-functional product development. You'll collaborate with the Product Engineering team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Investigate real manufacturing and product issues by working directly on the production floor and collaborating with operators and engineers.
  • Design and implement mechanical product improvements using Creo, engineering drawings, and engineering change processes.
  • Plan, conduct, and document laboratory, production, and vehicle testing to validate product performance and design changes.
  • Own multiple engineering projects from problem identification through design, implementation, and production release with guidance form an experienced engineering mentor.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to solve technical problems and improve products for our customers.
  • See your engineering ideas become real products by taking projects from concept through production on industry-leading material handling equipment.

What We're Looking For:
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Technologies, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Academic Year: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at time of co-op
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Co-op Term: January - August 2027

What Sets You Apart:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD tools (Creo Preferred)
  • Prior internship or project based engineering experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a truck driver's license for testing purposes

  • This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, IN office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

Wage - $20.00 - $30.00+ per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
