The impact you'll make
You will play a critical role in advancing the reputation of Lam Research and its industry-transforming technologies through creative, strategic and high-impact media relations and external communications.

The Corporate Communications Group delivers world-class communications to inform and engage key stakeholders and bring Lam's brand to life on a global scale. They lead our internal and executive communications, executive thought leadership, social presence, and philanthropic efforts through volunteering and the Lam Foundation. In 2025, Lam Research was recognized by PRWeek as one of the Best Places to Work in Communications.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Director of Public Relations, you will develop and execute strategic public relations plans that result in high-impact and on-message earned media coverage for corporate focus areas and Lam's industry-leading products and innovations. You will leverage your proven media skills to elevate and, at times protect, the reputation of the company, brand, and products. You will work with a range technical subject matter experts to develop compelling public relations content, including press releases, messaging, contributed articles and pitches. You will also work closely with Lam's international public relations and public affairs colleagues and product groups to speak with one voice to media and external stakeholders around the world. You will collaborate closely with Corporate Communications teammates to execute world-class cross-communications across a range of channels.
Who we're looking for
  • A dynamic and experienced public relations professional with a passion for storytelling and technology.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of previous public relations or corporate communications experience within multinational public companies, with a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or similar.
  • Have deep knowledge of public relations strategies and demonstrated experience working with executives and technology thought leaders on media opportunities.
  • Broad, demonstrated media relations skills with business press and technical trade press.
  • Exceptional, proven writing skills, with the ability to understand complex technical subject matter, evaluate industry trends, and effectively partner with stakeholders to distill complex messaging into compelling content for key external audiences.
  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, a problem solver, and
  • Have a proven ability to effortlessly handle multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, and act with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry is highly preferred.
  • A creative, strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to craft fresh, media pitches that resonate with target press and get results.
  • A self-starter, who can drive both strong individual contributions and work in close collaboration with a team to achieve Corporate Communications goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 - $253,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
