Job description

NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Executive MBA Programs. The selected candidate will lead key financial and administrative operations for the Executive MBA (EMBA) NY and DC programs, including program fee collection, financial aid, and Veterans benefits The Associate Director will offer counsel to both domestic and international students navigating the financial aid process, resolve complex account and payment issues, and collaborate with University partners to ensure effective and efficient processes. For the EMBA NY program, they will manage efficient navigation and resolution of challenges pertaining to students’ accommodation benefit and oversee the program’s revenue and operating budgets, oversee reconciliations and payment approvals, analyze financial and operational data, and identify opportunities to improve processes, manage costs, and enhance the student experience. The selected candidate will cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, students and vendors to manage strategic planning, operating costs for the EMBA NY program, and lead the planning and execution of data processing initiatives crucial to the success of the Executive MBA NY program.


The selected candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of progressively responsible professional-level experience in relationship building, higher education, strategic planning, and project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate must have excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and strategic planning skills. Proven ability to multitask and work with individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior executive groups, experience with confidentiality and discretion to resolve financial issues, the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to formulate creative solutions, and computer proficiency, including database management and Excel, are also required.


In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
