The Opportunity

The College Counselor will collaborate with the Director of Student Wellbeing and the Deans team to design and implement programs that support student well-being and effectively guide students through the college application process. The primary goal of the Deans team is to foster a sense of belonging by creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning community. The College Counselor regularly meets with students to provide mentorship and strategic coaching and serves as a conduit among students, families, and MAI colleagues. By being responsive to student needs, this role promotes balance, well-being, and a coordinated network of support.

Reporting to the Director of Student Wellbeing, the College Counselor works in close partnership to align college counseling initiatives with broader student support structures, including Personal Learning Plans and holistic student development frameworks. Along with the Deans team, you will help students realize their postsecondary goals and guide them on the best path toward college admissions and/or career readiness. This role provides resources on college options, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities; assists families and students in filtering and evaluating the best‑fit college choices; and offers guidance as students prepare to transition into their first year of postsecondary education.

You will oversee programevaluation, lead continuous improvements, and serve as a liaison amongstudents, families, and faculty to ensure each learner is supportedacademically, socially, and emotionally throughout the college preparationjourney.

Compensation and Benefits
