Export Manager โ€“ Air Freight

Location: Jamaica, Queens, NY

Position Overview

The Export Manager โ€“ Air Freight will lead international air export operations, supervising a team of export professionals while ensuring compliance, accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage daily international air freight export shipments.
  • Supervise and develop air export staff.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, TSA requirements, and airline regulations.
  • Book cargo space with airlines and negotiate competitive air freight rates.
  • Review export documentation including AWB, commercial invoices, and AES filings.
  • Provide accurate air freight quotations to clients.
  • Monitor shipment timelines to ensure on-time flight departures.
  • Oversee departmental billing and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of air export experience in freight forwarding.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international air freight documentation and compliance.
  • Experience working with airlines and handling high-value cargo preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
