Overview DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking experienced International Engagement Support SMEs to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) J3 International Support program. The International Engagement Support SME will provide executive-level communications, engagement planning, and event management support to the USSOCOM J3 International Division. This position plays a key role in planning and executing multinational conferences, senior leader engagements, international partner events, and strategic communications that strengthen global Special Operations Forces (SOF) partnerships and advance USSOCOM's international mission. The successful candidate will combine exceptional executive writing, communications, and organizational skills with experience supporting senior military leaders, multinational organizations, and large-scale international events. This role requires the ability to coordinate complex engagements involving U.S. Government agencies, allied militaries, coalition partners, and international stakeholders while ensuring flawless execution of high-visibility events. This position is onsite at USSOCOM Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Duties & Responsibilities The International Engagement Support SME will: * Plan, coordinate, and execute executive-level international engagements, conferences, meetings, and special events supporting the USSOCOM J3 International Division. * Develop executive correspondence, speeches, briefing materials, reports, talking points, biographies, read-ahead packages, and strategic communications for General Officers, Flag Officers, and Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders. * Coordinate multinational conferences, workshops, planning sessions, and partner nation engagements involving U.S. Government agencies, allied militaries, and international organizations. * Manage all phases of event planning, including scheduling, logistics , protocol coordination, attendee management, venue coordination, audiovisual support, and post-event reporting. * Coordinate with Government personnel, partner nation representatives, coalition organizations, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution. * Support strategic communication initiatives that enhance international partnerships and promote USSOCOM priorities. * Develop communication products that effectively communicate complex operational and strategic concepts to senior leaders and multinational audiences. * Utilize social media analytics tools to assess engagement metrics, identify trends, and support strategic communication planning. * Assist with protocol, foreign visitor coordination, and executive engagement activities involving international military and government officials. * Maintain detailed event schedules, planning timelines, action item trackers, and engagement documentation. * Support knowledge management and continuity efforts by documenting lessons learned and best practices from international engagements. * Ensure all engagement activities are executed professionally while protecting sensitive and classified information. Qualifications Clearance Requirement * Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required . Education * Bachelor's degree in International Relations , Communications, or another social science discipline. Experience (Required) * Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience supporting executive communications, international engagements, event management, or related operational support. * Minimum of five (5) years of experience utilizing written and verbal communications skills to prepare executive-level products for General Officers, Flag Officers, or Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders. * Demonstrated executive writing skills with experience producing high-quality correspondence, briefings, reports, speeches, and strategic communications. * Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a multinational environment, which may include military, academic, business, non-governmental organization (NGO), or U.S. Government experience. * Experience planning and executing executive-level conferences, senior leader engagements, and international events. * Experience organizing and coordinating complex intergovernmental events supporting more than 500 participants. * Experience utilizing social media analytics tools to evaluate communication effectiveness and audience engagement. * Experience coordinating with multinational organizations, coalition partners, and international stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications * Basic language proficiency (ILR Level 1/1 or equivalent) in a Romance or European language such as French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or another European language. Technical Knowledge * Executive communications and strategic messaging. * Event planning and conference management. * Senior leader protocol and executive engagement support. * Multinational coordination and international stakeholder engagement. * Executive correspondence, speech writing, and briefing development. * Social media analytics and communication performance measurement . * Project management and event logistics . * International communications and public affairs principles. * Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms. * Knowledge management and organizational coordination. Certifications Preferred * Professional certifications in event management, communications, project management, or public relations are desirable but not required . * Foreign language proficiency certifications are preferred when applicable. Skills * Exceptional executive writing and editing skills. * Outstanding verbal communication and presentation abilities. * Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail. * Experience coordinating complex, high-visibility executive events involving multiple organizations and stakeholders. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across U.S. Government, coalition, and international organizations. * Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting social media analytics and communication metrics. * Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities in fast-paced operational environments. * Professional judgment, diplomacy, and discretion when supporting senior military leaders and handling sensitive information. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams. * Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and mission success.
