Job description

As a Packaging Associate, you will work to efficiently assemble packages of product. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in various functional areas of the warehouse to grow and develop your skills.  We promote a work culture that represents our organization’s vison, mission, and values.

Essential Functions

  • Packaging product to the specifications of the customer
  • Meet key metrics as defined by Warehouse Manager which may include safety, culture, customer needs, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Maintain the safety and security of all associates
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled
  • Support other key warehouse areas when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and nonverbal
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to lift 20-30# regularly
  • Must be able to stand the entire shift
  • Basic computer/data entry skills 
  • Basic math skills

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role may routinely use equipment such as scanners, forklifts, utility knives, ladders, machinery, and tape guns. Employees may be exposed to bright lighting, blue light (i.e., computer screens), repetitive low to mid volume sounds (i.e., forklift traffic, packaging machines, etc.), warm and cool temperatures, and various metals and plastics.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly standing. The employee will need to have the ability to move and lift up to 50# occasionally and 10-20 # regularly. This job will require the ability to push, pull, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach when necessary.
