Job description

Job description:

About Us

Set Sail International is a fast-growing distributor/export company specializing in travel retail, maritime, export, and specialty distribution channels across the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and U.S. markets.

We work with both major CPG brands and emerging brands across snacks, beverages, wellness, grocery, and specialty categories. Our team works directly with brands, buyers, distributors, resorts, cruise-related channels, and key retail partners throughout international markets.

This is not a large corporate environment with layers of management and bureaucracy. The right person will gain real exposure to sales, purchasing, negotiations, logistics, brand development, and international distribution from day one.

We are looking for someone ambitious, organized, hungry to grow, and excited to be part of a business that moves fast and rewards initiative.

Position Overview

This role combines sales support, purchasing, vendor relations, account support, and brand development within the fast-moving CPG and international distribution industry.

You will work directly with ownership and play an active role in helping grow both existing business and new opportunities. This position offers hands-on exposure to many areas of the company including:

  • Brand development
  • Product sourcing
  • Vendor relations
  • International distribution
  • Sales support
  • Customer management
  • Purchasing and logistics operations

No two days are the same, and the person in this role will have the opportunity to grow quickly within the company.

Responsibilities Brand Development & Sales

  • Support relationships with brands, brokers, and customers
  • Assist with identifying and developing new brand opportunities
  • Create and distribute sell sheets, pricing updates, and product information
  • Support customer pricing requests and sales initiatives
  • Assist with trade show preparation and follow-up
  • Help identify market trends and emerging products
  • Support account management and customer communication
  • Assist ownership with strategic growth opportunities

Purchasing & Operations

  • Assist with sourcing products and obtaining vendor pricing
  • Create and process purchase orders
  • Monitor inventory levels and product availability
  • Coordinate with vendors, warehouses, and logistics partners
  • Track shipments, timelines, and delivery schedules
  • Review pricing, margins, and freight costs
  • Support vendor setup and product onboarding

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain organized spreadsheets and reports
  • Assist with order tracking and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support internal projects and operational initiatives
  • Help improve processes and day-to-day efficiency

Who Will Thrive In This Role

  • Someone entrepreneurial who wants to grow with a company
  • Someone who enjoys fast-paced environments and solving problems
  • Someone interested in consumer brands, sales, and international business
  • Someone comfortable communicating with vendors and customers
  • Someone who takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do
  • Someone organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Someone willing to wear multiple hats and learn different parts of the business

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Sales-minded personality is a plus
  • Experience in CPG, wholesale, distribution, logistics, purchasing, or sales is a plus but not required

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

  • Competitive base salary depending on experience
  • Additional commission and performance-based earning opportunities
  • Expected first-year compensation range: $55,000–$85,000+ depending on experience and performance
  • Direct exposure to ownership and decision-making
  • Exposure to major CPG brands and international markets
  • Potential travel and trade show opportunities

Compensation structure includes a combination of base salary and commission/performance incentives tied to growth and contribution to the business.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday to Friday
  • In-office position based in Pembroke Pines, FL

Why Join Set Sail International?

This is an opportunity to join a growing company where you can gain real experience across multiple areas of the business instead of being boxed into one narrow role.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to build valuable relationships within the CPG and international distribution industry while developing skills in sales, purchasing, logistics, and brand management.

If you are looking for a position with long-term growth potential and direct exposure to how a real business operates and scales, we would love to speak with you.
