Qualification, knowledge and experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications majors preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Certification: CFR 49 / IATA / IMDG certification or able to obtain the certification within 12 months.
  • Previous Export experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in word-processing and spreadsheet applications required (MS Word & Excel preferred). Familiarity with manufacturing software applications is preferred.

Skills and attitude :
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization required.
  • Excellent telephone presence to respond to customer inquiries in a calm, professional, and courteous manner, yet always keeping Company policies in mind.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under limited supervision required.
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are required.

Your responsibilities
The Manager, Customer Service & Inside Sales leads local team of dedicated Customer Account Specialists supporting quotations and sales orders for both domestic and international customers. Serves as key contact and escalation point for both internal and external customers. Cross-functional communication and collaboration are key to success for this role.
  • Leads and manages local team based out of Schenectady, NY site supporting order processing and other customer-facing activities.
  • Responsible for individual coaching and development of team members, including development and maintenance of department-specific procedures.
  • Meets and coordinates with external customers as well as internal functions including Production, Shipping, Finance, Quality, external Sales, and others.
  • Key user of internal systems, especially SAP.
  • Generate reports and present data related to the function to internal stakeholders.
  • Support other local and regional teams as required.
