Job Title: Internal Consultant

Work Location: Onsite, Hybrid, Remote

Reports to: Vice President

Role Overview: DPL Financial Partners is seeking a highly motivated Internal Consultant to drive adoption of the DPL platform across registered investment advisor (RIA) firms. This role is designed for a high-energy sales professional who thrives in a performance-driven environment and is motivated by activity, pipeline development, and closing business.

The Internal Consultant plays a critical role in expanding DPL's reach by engaging advisors daily, demonstrating the value of the platform and tools, and converting conversations into platform adoption and annuity business.

Success in this role requires consistent daily advisor engagement, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to effectively deliver platform and product demonstrations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys high activity levels, building relationships with financial advisors, and helping firms modernize their insurance and annuity strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Advisor Engagement & Platform Adoption

  • Proactively engage financial advisors daily through outbound calls, meetings, and virtual presentations.
  • Conduct platform and tools demonstrations that showcase DPL's technology, analytics, and annuity solutions.
  • Educate advisors on how to incorporate commission-free annuities into fee-based practices.

Meet Activity and Production Expectations

  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales and platform adoption goals.
  • Maintain consistent daily outreach activity levels to advisors within assigned territory.
  • Schedule and conduct a targeted number of platform demos and advisor meetings each week.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through disciplined prospecting and follow-up.

Deliver Consultative Sales Conversations

  • Understand advisor business models, client demographics, and portfolio strategies.
  • Position DPL as a strategic partner to help firms modernize insurance and annuity solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to support advisors with education, case design, and implementation.

Manage Territory and Pipeline

  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and opportunity management within Salesforce.
  • Prioritize opportunities to maximize conversion and advisor engagement.
  • Partner with External Consultants and sales leadership to drive territory growth and strategic initiatives.

Support Advisor Success

  • Lead onboarding calls and training sessions for new member firms.
  • Provide ongoing education on DPL tools, resources, and carrier solutions.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to expand advisor relationships and brand awareness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience in financial services, FinTech, insurance, annuities, or asset management.
  • Experience working with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in high activity, goal-oriented sales environments.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to lead platform and product demonstrations.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (SPIN, Sandler, Solution Selling, etc.) is a plus.
  • Life insurance license preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Work Environment
