At Trinity Industries, communication is more than information - it's culture. We're looking for a creative, strategic, and people-first Internal Communications Specialist to join our team at our Dallas headquarters. In this role, you'll help shape how nearly 6,000 employees connect with the company's mission, strategy, and each other. You'll report to the Internal Communications Manager and work across teams to bring Trinity's story to life from the inside out.

What You'll Do:
Content & Storytelling
  • Write, edit, and produce compelling internal content across multiple channels - intranet, email, digital signage, the employee mobile app, and print
  • Research and develop monthly articles that spotlight company strategy, culture, events, and key initiatives
  • Craft executive messaging, speaking points, and quotable language for internal communications
Multimedia & Design
  • Support video production and editing, photography, and graphic design projects
  • Assist with brand standards, ensuring consistency across logos, trademarks, and design guidelines
  • Contribute to social media content creation as needed
Collaboration & Events
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups to deliver targeted, meaningful communications
  • Help plan and execute company-wide Town Halls and employee engagement events and campaigns
  • Build internal relationships that foster a positive and informed employee experience

Qualifications
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in internal communications
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop), Microsoft 365, and content management systems
  • Hands-on experience with video production, photography, and editing software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - you're comfortable working with executives, frontline employees, and everyone in between
  • A self-starter mindset with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A commitment to confidentiality and acting with integrity
  • Familiarity with AP style and AI prompts in order to create impactful messages
  • Work samples will be requested during the interview process.
