The Rehabilitation Counseling Intern will participate in a supervised clinical internship supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities in achieving employment and community integration goals. Under the supervision of a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), the intern will gain hands-on experience in rehabilitation counseling, vocational support, and person-centered service delivery.
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing supervised rehabilitation counseling and vocational support services
  • Assisting with job readiness, employment planning, and supported employment activities
  • Participating in vocational assessments, workplace readiness, and employment stabilization
  • Collaborating with job coaches, counselors, employers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Completing accurate, timely documentation in compliance with OPWDD, ACCES-VR, and agency standards
  • Participating in weekly individual supervision and professional development activities

Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in a graduate-level Rehabilitation Counseling or related program
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Interest in working with individuals with disabilities in community-based settings
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards
