Job description

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Intern supports pharmacy operations and project-based initiatives that contribute to safe, effective medication management within the organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to pharmacy workflows, data analysis, and process improvement activities that support patient care and clinical services. Working within a collaborative, team-oriented pharmacy environment, the Pharmacy Intern partners closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support daily operations and quality initiatives. This position offers practical experience in a healthcare setting focused on safety, learning, and operational excellence while contributing meaningfully to patient-focused outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations and administrative support activities under appropriate supervision.
  • Support data collection, research, and analysis related to pharmacy workflows, medication use processes, or operational initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support pharmacy projects and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff and cross-functional teams to support departmental goals and improvement efforts.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by contributing ideas and supporting implementation activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient and organizational information in accordance with pharmacy, privacy, and ethical standards.
