Overview:
Berks Homes is a new home builder with more than 50 years of experience serving Eastern and Central Pennsylvania. Our marketing team is a small, high-impact group responsible for brand, digital presence, content, creative production, and campaign execution across all our communities.
This summer, we're looking for a motivated Marketing Intern to jump in, contribute, and learn alongside our team. This role is designed to offer meaningful, hands-on exposure across all areas of the marketing department — not just one function. The intern will contribute directly to active projects, support day-to-day marketing operations, and leave with a portfolio of real work produced for a regional homebuilder.
The intern will rotate support across the following areas, with the specific mix of tasks shaped by team priorities and the intern’s strengths:

Content amp; Copywriting
  • Draft social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms
  • Support email marketing campaigns, including copy drafts and basic template setup
  • Assist with blog creation or content editing, including community spotlight features
  • Help create flyers and other marketing assets for communities, events, and promotions
  • Proofread and edit marketing materials for brand voice and terminology compliance
Digital amp; Analytics
  • Assist with basic website content updates
  • Help compile weekly and monthly performance reports (social, email, web traffic)
  • Support Google My Business and listing management tasks
Creative amp; Production Support
  • Assist the Multimedia Specialist and Creative Director with asset organization and basic production tasks
  • Help prepare materials for community events, model home openings, and promotions
  • Support photo and video project coordination as needed
Marketing Operations
  • Assist with marketing calendar maintenance and project tracking
  • Help organize shared files, brand assets, and templates
  • Research industry trends, competitor activity, and content ideas on request
  • Provide general task support to the Marketing Manager and broader team
What We're Lookng For:
We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and can operate comfortably across multiple projects at once. Specific qualifications include:

Required
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Strong written communication skills — able to write clearly and adapt tone for different audiences
  • Comfortable with social media platforms from a content and engagement standpoint
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Preferred
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
  • Basic understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp, HubSpot)
  • Interest in real estate, homebuilding, or the housing market
  • Experience with content creation in a professional or academic context
Logistics:
  • Schedule: 2–3 days per week
  • Duration: June through August 2026 (approximately 10–12 weeks)
Compensation:
Hourly Rate:
  • 1st year (Freshman): $16.00/hr
  • 2nd year (Sophomore): $17.00/hr
  • 3rd year (Junior and above): $18.00/hr - $20.00 (depending on scope of work)
