As a Security Officer Access Point Attendant in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and entry screening at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, and/or communicating access concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Document daily activities, access-related events, and incident details in required reports, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives regarding security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 or more years of security-related experience are required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
