Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associates degree, preferred
Licenses/Certifications:  Epic Certification required
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in a large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in a wide variety of Healthcare Information Systems (MIS) or similar experience in system analysis, design, building, testing and implementation or a combination of MIS and working knowledge of hospital operations required
Industry training and increasingly responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information System
Previous Epic or other Health Information Systems experience required
Experience in supporting complex problems
Experience in assisting other Analysts
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools and methodologies
Good analytical skills and technical aptitude
Good planning and organizational skills
Good communication, collaboration and customer service skills
Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Systems Development
Translates user and department Epic system needs into technical solutions.
Performs project reviews and process walk throughs incorporating technical, clinical and business solutions that will enhance user user productivity and department service levels.
Technical Administration
Responsible for providing technical knowledge in the support of Epic as well as other software applications and operating systems.
Performs intermediate to advanced analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation of Epic and other computer programs and systems.
Demonstrates and applies information systems theory, processes and methodologies.
Technical Standards
Acts as an advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support and information management standards within and outside of the Information Systems Department.
Application Support
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting development projects and complex problem solving efforts involving Epic and other applications.
Participates in after-hours technical support by rotating call schedule on a regular basis.
Provides ongoing Epic support to users.
Planning & Coordinating
Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.
Maintains an effective level of coordination on all assigned projects.
Documents and reports on all plans, priorities and schedules.
Informs Manager of status of all project assignments regularly
