JMA Solutions, LLC, a thriving consulting firm providing management engineering and IT services, primarily to the federal government, has immediate opening for Lead Radio Technician/Intermediate Engineer to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City. This role requires the ability to work at heights and to travel up to 50% of the time.
Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for the installing, aligning, and troubleshooting various mobile/power radio systems, RF distribution paths, equipment racks, antennas, and power connections.
  • Assist in the design of communication systems and transmission paths to include RF and IP communications.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, tests circuits, and calibrates transmitters, replacing defective components.
  • Programs and configures radio channels, frequences, and features.
  • Maintains radio infrastructures at towers and dispatch centers
  • Maintains accurate records of equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Works on other projects with the Communications group.
  • Will be considered as a Team Lead.

Job Requirements
  • BS degree +3 or more years of relevant experience OR
  • Associate's degree or Trade School Certification +5 or more years of relevant experience OR
  • High School Diploma + Minimum of ten (11) years of experience, in lieu of degree.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, RF principles and diagnostic tools (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, cable testers).
  • Knowledge of cabling and building equipment racks
  • Knowledge of microwaves and telecommunications is a plus.
  • The ability to successfully complete climber training, wear a climbing harness, and occasionally climb towers up to 60 feet.
  • Ability to carry equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
