Enbridge Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) relies on a network of salt caverns and depleted reservoirs strategically located along the pipeline system to deliver both tariffbased and marketbased storage services while ensuring balanced and reliable pipeline operations.

The Storage Integrity Group plays a critical role in this mission by stewarding Integrity Management Plans, maintaining operational procedures, and executing comprehensive integrity assessments across GTM's gas storage well portfolio.

As a Gas Storage Intermediate Engineer, you will contribute directly to the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of natural gas salt cavern wellheads, well bores, and cavern assets. Apply today, we'd love to hear from you!

What Will You Do:

  • Support activities necessary to operate and maintain natural gas storage reservoir and cavern wellheads, well bores, and assets.

  • Support audits by state and federal regulator agencies such as Railroad Commission of Texas, Louisiana Department of Conservation & Energy (C&E), the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Province of British Columbia Energy Regulatory (BCER).

  • Schedule and coordinate regulatory and company required storage well testing program with operations, storage optimization, commercial and other business groups.

  • Provide engineering evaluation of all changes, upgrades, and repairs on storage assets. This requires evaluation of data from downhole wireline tools, casing inspections, and mechanical integrity tests.

  • Coordinate all aspects of storage well operations including budgeting, scheduling, planning, plan execution, and record keeping.

  • Support the preparation of engineering and regulatory required reports on issues involving underground gas storage.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ex. Petroleum, Mechanical, or other related degrees).

  • 4 or more years of related experience.

  • Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta. If in the US, PE is not required.

  • Knowledge of CSA Z341 and API well design standards and recommended practices, and related industry equipment operations and maintenance codes and practices.

  • Previous experience in gas cavern or reservoir storage operations, Storage facility surface, and subsurface equipment knowledge.

  • Knowledge of conducting well logging operations and well log analysis including petrophysical logs.

  • Knowledge of oil & gas and gas storage regulatory requirements in the United States and Canada.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with internal partners.

Working Conditions:

  • Office based.

  • Moderate travel (20%) within the U.S. and Canada. Valid passport is required.

  • Role requires a valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record which will be validated before hire.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
