We are a well-established, resident-centered skilled nursing facility dedicated to delivering high-quality care, supporting our staff, and maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment. We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to provide leadership and stability during a transition period.

Position Summary

The Interim DON will oversee all clinical operations within the facility, ensure regulatory compliance, support nursing staff, and maintain excellent resident outcomes. This role is ideal for a strong leader who can quickly step in, assess needs, and guide the team with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department and clinical teams.

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations.

  • Oversee resident care planning, assessments, and quality measures.

  • Manage staffing levels, schedules, and delegation of duties.

  • Support survey readiness and manage plans of correction if needed.

  • Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care.

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment.

  • Ensure excellent communication with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the state of PA (required).

  • Minimum 3–5 years leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

  • Prior experience as DON or ADON strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, infection control, and quality assurance.

  • Ability to lead teams, implement improvements, and manage clinical challenges.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to step in quickly and manage a fast-paced environment.
