Description:

Position: Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) $3000 Sign on Bonus

Location: Benton and Franklin County, Washington State

Type: Non-Exempt, Full Time

Anticipated Schedule: Monday through Friday, two holidays per year. Possible on-call rotation as needed.

Position Overview:

As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in a hospice setting. Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with terminal illnesses and supporting their families during difficult times. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with activities of daily living, ensure their comfort, and provide emotional support to both patients and their loved ones.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D.

2. Current and unrestricted license in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

3. Current CPR Certification with Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) from an accredited provider.

4. Completion of Blood Born Pathogens Training

5. Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health

6. Ability to lift, move, and assist patients up to 50lbs (or more with assistance)

7. Comfortable with frequent travel between patient homes and facilities.

8. Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

9. Available to work evenings, nights, and weekends as part of the on-call rotation.

10. Available to work holidays.

11. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require passing a pre-employment drug test, which includes cannabis testing in WA State.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. One year of CNA experience in hospice, home health, or long-term care settings.

2. Experience working with patients with chronic, terminal, or end-of-life care needs.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $20.63/hour - 26.60/hour


$3000 Sign on Bonus: : New hires are eligible to receive a $3,000 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing.


Premiums:

ยท $2.50/hour Weeknight

ยท $2.25/hour Weekend Day

ยท $4.75/hour Weekend Night

ยท $4.00/hour On Call Standby

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.

3. Policy Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and comply with agency policies, procedures, and practices.

4. Confidentiality: Protect patient and agency information per HIPAA guidelines. Only access information on a need-to-know basis.

5. Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid driverโ€™s license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.

6. Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization, declinations, or approved accommodations as applicable.

7. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.

8. Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)

9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.

10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education, policy reviews, and training be designated deadlines.
