Job description

Spurwink is hiring an Overnight Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) for our soon-to-open Lewiston Crisis Center, which offers a warm, welcoming environment for individuals ages 14+ experience urgent behavioral health needs. As an alternative to hospitalization or law enforcement intervention, we provide stabilization, observation, assessment, and short-term intervention in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive environment - open 24/7, 365 days a year, promoting safety, dignity, and recovery.

DUTIES:

  • Use Intentional Peer Support (IPS) practices to develop connection and trust.
  • Shared lived experience intentionally and ethically to normalize crisis experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with crisis workers and other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) certification and/or Certified Recovery Coach certification preferred. Peer support work experience required.
