Job description

UAV Operator with a strong background in Surveying to support aerial data collection and processing.

You'll operate drones for field missions, handle data uploads and processing, and work with our surveying and estimating teams to incorporate collected data into our existing technical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Planned, prepared, and executed UAV flights for aerial surveys, mapping, and measured cuts/fills/stockpiles.

· Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company safety protocols (Part 107 certified).

· Perform drone maintenance and software updates.

· Capture and manage aerial data, process imagery, and create deliverables using processing tools.

· Integrate UAV data into internal IT systems.

· Process and analyze drone data using Lidar and GIS software.

· Collaborate with IT and project teams to ensure seamless workflows and support.

Qualifications:

Required:

· FAA Part 107 Certification

. Professional experience utilizing Lidar is REQUIRED

. Previous estimating or civil engineering/construction expertise is REQUIRED

· Proven experience operating drones (commercial, industrial, or survey applications)

· Familiarity with drone mapping and data processing software

· Ability to travel to project sites as needed; vehicles will be provided

Preferred:

· 2+ years of UAV piloting, preferably in a civil construction or heavy civil environment

· Familiarity with civil construction documentation, grading plans, and as-built workflows

· Knowledge of telemetry systems and flight automation tools

. Photogrammetry is a plus
