Job description

We are seeking a Quantum Integrations Engineer with expertise in distributed and cloud software systems and technical integrations and an enthusiasm for quantum software development.

This role will be responsible for integrating Infleqtion’s quantum computing software and capabilities into the platforms, tools, and workflows used by our ecosystem partners and end users. The successful candidate will work closely with external software and platform partners as well as internal quantum software, applications, product, and systems teams to develop robust technical integrations that make quantum computing accessible within existing computational environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with familiarity with quantum computing and the ability to work effectively with external technical teams. This individual will serve as a technical bridge between Infleqtion’s quantum computing stack and the broader HPC, AI, cloud, scientific computing, and domain-specific software ecosystems in which quantum computing will ultimately operate.

Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between Infleqtion quantum software and external software platforms, scientific applications, cloud environments, HPC systems, and enterprise computing tools.
  • Integrate Infleqtion’s quantum computing capabilities, including Superstaq and related software interfaces, with domain-specific applications, development environments, orchestration platforms, and partner software ecosystems.
  • Work directly with ecosystem partners to understand their architectures, APIs, workflows, technical constraints, and integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams to define interfaces and integration architectures that allow quantum computing capabilities to be accessed naturally within existing customer and developer workflows.
  • Develop APIs, SDK integrations, plugins, adapters, workflow connectors, reference implementations, and other software components required to connect Infleqtion systems with third-party platforms.
  • Build and maintain integrations with cloud, HPC, AI, and scientific-computing environments.
  • Develop prototypes and proofs of concept with strategic partners to validate integration approaches and identify technical requirements for production deployment.
  • Collaborate with quantum software engineers to translate application prototypes and quantum algorithms into deployable workflows within external software platforms.
  • Collaborate with quantum software and systems engineers to ensure that external integration requirements are reflected in Infleqtion’s software architecture, APIs, developer tooling, and product roadmap.
  • Develop abstractions that allow users and partners to interact with quantum computing resources without requiring detailed knowledge of underlying hardware implementation.
  • Design solutions for hybrid quantum-classical workflows, including job submission, orchestration, data movement, resource management, result processing, and interaction with classical compute resources.
  • Develop and maintain integration documentation, technical specifications, reference architectures, tutorials, and developer examples for internal and external users.
  • Establish automated testing, monitoring, and validation approaches to ensure integrations remain reliable as both Infleqtion and partner software evolve.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues spanning quantum software, cloud infrastructure, networking, authentication, partner applications, and external APIs.
