Overview

Our client, a leading organization in the insurance industry, is building and expanding its enterprise integration capabilities and is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Manager to lead a growing team responsible for connecting critical business systems across the organization. This is a highly visible leadership role focused on enterprise systems integration, API architecture, and data orchestration.

As the Systems Integration Manager, you will oversee the design, delivery, and optimization of integration solutions that enable seamless communication between core business platforms. You will partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Compliance, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to establish scalable integration patterns and ensure operational excellence across the integration ecosystem.

This position offers the opportunity to shape the organization's long-term integration strategy while managing a team of senior integration engineers and driving key modernization initiatives.

Key Project Initiatives:Enterprise Integration Strategy
  • Develop and execute a long-term integration strategy that enables efficient communication between core business applications.
  • Evaluate and improve API efficiency, integration patterns, and enterprise data exchange processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure integrations support organizational objectives and future growth.
Integration & Data Flow Optimization
  • Assess existing API, file-based, and batch integrations across the enterprise.
  • Audit current data movement and identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate, or eliminate unnecessary integrations.
  • Improve overall integration efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Platform Stabilization & Operational Excellence
  • Support critical business platform initiatives by monitoring integration health, troubleshooting issues, and improving overall system stability.
  • Establish best practices for integration monitoring, governance, and operational support.
  • Drive continuous improvements in reliability and performance across the integration landscape.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Integration Engineers through coaching, performance management, and technical leadership.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery, quality, and operational stability of enterprise integrations.
  • Architect and orchestrate APIs across multiple enterprise systems.
  • Design scalable integration solutions that align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Manage data integration points and ensure reliable data movement between applications and platforms.
  • Establish API governance, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Compliance, Data Engineering, and business teams to deliver integration solutions that meet technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide architectural oversight of enterprise data movement and system integration patterns.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-based integration technologies and modern integration frameworks.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience as a Manager, Team Lead, or Technical Lead.
  • Strong background in enterprise systems integration and API architecture.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.
  • Experience working with integration platforms and API management solutions.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data integration, orchestration, and messaging patterns.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, integration governance, and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Integration Gateway technologies.
  • Guidewire experience, particularly within Policy Center, Billing Center, or Claims Center environments.
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Experience leading modernization or integration transformation initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

• Relocation must be initiated within 60 days of acceptance but benefits remain available for up to 12 months.
• Option for up to 90 days of temporary housing.
• $2,000 miscellaneous relocation stipend.
