Overview

An established leader in the property and casualty insurance industry is investing heavily in its enterprise integration capabilities and is seeking a Systems Integration Manager to lead and grow its Data Integration function. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on enterprise systems integration, API architecture, data orchestration, and ensuring seamless communication across business-critical platforms.

This individual will lead a team of senior integration engineers while partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Compliance, and application teams to develop scalable integration strategies that support ongoing digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of leadership, systems integration expertise, and enterprise architecture experience.

Key Initiatives & Business Impact

As the Systems Integration Manager, you will play a critical role in several strategic initiatives, including:

  • Stabilizing major platform releases by improving integration reliability, monitoring, and operational health across enterprise applications.
  • Driving enterprise-wide API and integration strategy to improve how data moves between core business systems.
  • Evaluating current integration architecture and identifying opportunities to simplify, modernize, and optimize data exchange patterns.
  • Supporting modernization efforts across policy, billing, and claims platforms by creating scalable and efficient integration frameworks.
  • Building and expanding an internal integration practice while establishing architectural standards and best practices.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Integration Engineers, providing coaching, direction, and performance management.
  • Architect and oversee enterprise API strategies and integration solutions across multiple business domains.
  • Own the quality, delivery, and operational stability of system integrations.
  • Design scalable integration patterns that align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Partner with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure integration solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage enterprise data integration points and ensure effective data flow across applications and platforms.
  • Audit existing integrations and identify opportunities to streamline, consolidate, or eliminate unnecessary data exchanges.
  • Provide architectural oversight for enterprise data movement, orchestration, and system interoperability.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience as a Manager, Team Lead, or Technical Lead overseeing engineers or developers.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise API architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms and technologies.
  • Experience with Kafka and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data integration and orchestration strategies.
  • Experience leading integration initiatives across complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Integration Gateway technologies.
  • Cloud integration experience within Azure environments preferred (AWS or GCP experience also welcomed).
  • Knowledge of insurance industry platforms, particularly Guidewire, is highly desirable.
  • Experience establishing integration governance, standards, and best practices.

This role will lead a dedicated Data Integration team consisting of senior integration developers focused on API development and enterprise connectivity initiatives. You will work closely with peer leaders across Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Strategy functions, while partnering with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with long-term technology objectives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Relocation Package if needed: • Household goods moving expenses. • Closing costs associated with purchasing a new home. • Closing costs associated with selling a current home. • Relocation must be initiated within 60 days of acceptance but benefits remain available for up to 12 months. • Option for up to 90 days of temporary housing. • $2,000 miscellaneous relocation stipend.
