Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design, integration, and evolution of enterprise data solutions that support critical business operations, analytics, and strategic initiatives. This is a highly technical, hands-on architecture role focused on modern data warehousing, enterprise data integration, data modeling, and data engineering best practices.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience designing scalable data ecosystems, building and supporting data pipelines, and architecting end-to-end data movement across complex enterprise environments. This individual will work across architecture, engineering, and implementation responsibilities while partnering with business and technology teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals.
This role is best suited for someone who has progressed from Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, ETL, or Data Integration roles into architecture while maintaining strong technical depth and hands-on expertise.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement enterprise data architectures that support business intelligence, analytics, operational reporting, and future data initiatives
  • Lead enterprise data modeling efforts utilizing methodologies such as Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, and Inmon
  • Architect and support data warehouses, data marts, and modern cloud-based data platforms
  • Design and oversee enterprise ETL/ELT processes, data transformation frameworks, and integration solutions
  • Develop strategies for data quality, governance, lineage, and lifecycle management
  • Architect scalable data pipelines and data movement processes across enterprise systems
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the organization's data architecture roadmap
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering and development teams
  • Collaborate with reporting, analytics, and business intelligence teams to ensure optimal data availability and performance
  • Identify architectural risks and recommend solutions to improve scalability, maintainability, and reliability
  • Establish standards, best practices, and governance processes across the enterprise data environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, or related disciplines
  • Proven experience architecting and supporting enterprise-scale data environments
  • Deep expertise in data modeling methodologies including:
    • Kimball Dimensional Modeling
    • Data Vault 2.0
    • Inmon Methodology
  • Strong experience with enterprise data warehousing concepts and best practices
  • Extensive experience with ETL/ELT design, implementation, and optimization
  • Advanced SQL and Python development skills
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise data pipelines and integration frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Experience with Redgate or comparable enterprise data modeling tools
  • Experience with Informatica, IBM DataStage, or similar enterprise integration platforms
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure-based data solutions
  • Experience with Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark and modern data lake architectures
  • Experience with DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives
