Job Summary

We're looking for a Financial Database Analyst to join our team. In this role you will be working in a highly collaborative team to deliver, validate, monitor and support the financial systems and data processes across multiple environments. You will assist in the development, customization, and implementation of data transformations for end users and integrate financial data across systems.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the bridge between product management and technology.

  • Determines financial system data requirements in collaboration with product owners, vendors, end users, and technology teams. 
  • Collaborate with Business Technology teammates on data integration using data integration methods, data governance processes, and best practices. Serve as a technical data owner for various financial data systems. 
  • Serve as a consultant or subject matter expert for cross-functional teams pulling from a foundation of broad Farm Credit Services of America/Frontier Farm Credit business knowledge and technical expertise of both current and future systems to provide input and feedback as recommendations and decisions are made. 

Support data from financial applications and the overall management and governance of data across financial product development. 

  • Lead data analysis, validation, and integration for financial applications and processes. 
  • Responsible for data accuracy, migration of timely data, and accurate exchange of data between financial systems and databases. 
  • Provide expertise regarding the extraction, transformation, and loading of data between internal and external financial systems. 
  • Incorporate continuous process improvement into all project, support and testing efforts. 
  • Lead data mapping efforts for all new and existing financial data related processes. 
  • Develop knowledge of the Associations processes and financial industry standards. Improve and maintain understanding of financial system tools, practices, and methodologies. 

Provide support to product and business teams 

  • Provide support for core financial applications and processes by responding to assigned system issues and problems, determine root cause and resolution, and communicate information to teammates, product owners, and leadership (this may extend beyond normal working hours). 
  • Assist in the development, generation, and distribution of data driven requests and reports to meet operational business needs. 
  • Generate appropriate documentation for support procedures and business processes. 
Education Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in an analytical field (e.g. math, economics, engineering, statistics, computer science, MIS).
Years of Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in database analysis and system integration, experience with data extraction, transformation and loading across internal or external platforms. Strong financial acumen and ability to translate data insights to business partners.
