Job description

Role: Lead DataStage Integration Support Engineer
Location: Culver City, CA (4 days a week onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Experience: 8 10 Years
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end DataStage ETL platform (development, administration, and support).
  • Lead and mentor a team of DataStage support engineers.
  • Design, develop, and enhance ETL jobs and workflows.
  • Administer DataStage (user roles, security, deployments, and migrations).
  • Troubleshoot job failures across DataStage and Unix environments.
  • Manage incident management, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and debug shell scripts and Python-based automation.
  • Manage Control-M (job monitoring, failure handling, scheduling, agent upgrades).
  • Configure SAP/Unix jobs, calendars, and workload policies.
  • Support Gentran (maps, mailboxes, FTP scripts, Java programs, SQL procedures).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for issue resolution.
Mandatory Skills:
  • 8 10 years of experience in IBM DataStage (Development + Admin)
  • Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and cron jobs.
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming.
  • Strong experience with Control-M administration and scheduling.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Proven experience in production support, incident management, and RCA.
  • Experience leading teams and handling stakeholder communication.
