Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with assigned OEMs and work towards optimized application/installation/integration designs of Allison products
    • Assist in transmission product development as it pertains to vehicle and engine integration
    • Convey ATI's design requirements to the customer per Tech Data
    • Chair and/or attend customer meetings as ATI's engineering representative
    • Provide product training to customer's engineering and manufacturing teams
    • Support diagnosis and resolution of vehicle/transmission/system issues at customer engineering and manufacturing facilities
  • Communicate customer design direction and changes to the ATI engineering and business teams
    • Facilitate the transfer of specifications, change requests, roll out plans, and software tools between the customer and ATI
    • Forward information on customer activities relevant to ATIs interests
    • Interact with the customer's various engineering organizations to provide feedback on ways to improve the ATI products in customer vehicles
    • Submit improvements and deviations through the Allison business systems

  • Optimized Allison product installation/integration at assigned OEMs, no installation/integration related issues in the field
  • No unforeseen delays/interruptions in availability of Allison product releases at assigned OEMs because of engineering (including PLT) issues or regulatory issues at assigned OEMs.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot powertrain technical issues and resolve (either with or without support from peer CIE's)

Experience & Qualifications

    • BSME, BSEE, or equivalent
    • 2+ years engineering and technical experience
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English
    • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
    • Ability to communicate (oral & written) technical issues to varied audiences (engineering, marketing, & leadership discussions)
