Job Description

Position Summary:

US - Seattle only: This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

As a Learning & Development Partner you will collaborate with subject matter experts, business leaders and stakeholders to create and implement impactful learning solutions using the ADDIE model. You will be part of the team that is responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive learning experiences.

These experiences will include Instructor-Led Training (virtual and in-person), eLearning, micro-learning, and performance support, like job aids, using a range of learner engagement strategies such as scenario-based, hands-on skills-based practice, storytelling, simulations, adaptive learning, and peer-to-peer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Training Delivery 

  • Apply ADDIE methodology and adult learning principles to design and develop engaging learner-centric experiences, programs, and materials.
  • Create learning resources, including scripts, facilitator guides, videos, interactive eLearning, job aids, playbooks, and infographics.
  • Work independently or with project teams to develop all aspects of the learning solution from initiation to launch, including ongoing evaluation and iteration.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate virtual and in-person instructor-led training sessions globally.

Learning & Development Team and Project Support

  • Follow established processes, business requirements, and work within resource constraints to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to share knowledge and generate ideas to develop training solutions.

Program Effectiveness, Maintenance, and Quality

  • Incorporate practical skills application and assessments to ensure that we can track the effectiveness of our solutions. 
  • Collect and analyze feedback from learning events and provide insights and recommendations to enhance future learning experiences. 
  • Support other Learning and Development team members to coordinate the delivery of recurring training sessions.

Skills

  • Ability to work with a team, problem-solving skills, and both verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Exceptional organization, time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, stay on track with timelines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Comfortable using technology such as Microsoft 365 products, Trupanion software, Tableau, Learning Management System (LMS), and Work Management Platform (Asana).
Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience in designing, developing, and delivering in-person and online training courses, engagement tools, and workplace learning.
  • 3 + years' experience in instructional design experience demonstrating a wide variety of classroom, blended, and experiential training approaches and various topics, including sales, marketing, customer service, leadership, IT systems, and product training.
Additional Information
  • The base hourly range for this position is $32 - $40 on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base compensation, Trupanion employees are currently eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion's success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
