Are you a highly organized, creative professional who loves making systems run smoothly while helping others learn and grow? Were looking for a Learning & Development (L&D)Specialist to join our growing team and serve as the operational backbone of our Learning & Development function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a career in Learning & Development. Location: Portland, OR - This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 2-3 days in the office after initial training period.

Pay: $65K - $75K a year

Role Overview

The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is the operational engine of our team. This role is designed for a detail-oriented "utility player" who excels at managing the systems that enable learning. You will oversee our LMS (Docebo), manage compliance and certification tracking, and drive internal engagement through clear, creative communication plans.

Additionally, you will serve as a junior developer, tackling our content backlog by creating job aids, videos, and modules under the guidance of our Instructional Designer. This role is ideal for someone seeking to master L&D operations while building a professional portfolio in instructional design.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Systems Administration

  • Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (Docebo) by managing enrollments, user groups, and learning plans
  • Utilize Docebo reporting, Excel, and other tools to create dashboards and reports to track compliance and completion rates across the organization
  • Provide support to learners needing assistance with the LMS and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Maintain learning resources and assist with the curation of third-party resources, content, and tools
  • Proactively own the tracking and reporting of mandatory training and professional certifications to ensure 100% organizational readiness

Learning Program Operations & Coordination

  • Support scheduling, coordination, and setup for both virtual and in-person training sessions
  • Collaborate across teams to continually enhance the onboarding experience and its effectiveness for employees
  • Occasionally lead brief, repeatable training sessions, such as LMS walkthroughs, orientations, or other relevant topics as needed
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and continuously improve learning processes and systems as CSG experiences rapid growth

Content Development Support

  • Assist the Instructional Designer in creating training content and rapid eLearning modules using Parta.io and other tools
  • Design and produce professional tutorials, marked-up guides, and job aids using a variety of authoring tools such as Canva, Camtasia, Snagit, Vyond, or other programs as needed to support initiatives
  • Audit and update existing training materials to ensure all screenshots and information are up to date and current

Communication & Internal Marketing

  • Create and execute marketing plans to promote learning programs via Teams, email, and internal newsletters
  • Manage training calendars, program logistics, communications, and scheduling
  • Work collaboratively with the L&D team to craft compelling, error-free communications that drive engagement with our learning programs

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 13 years of experience in L&D, HR, or Project Coordination.
  • The L&D Eye: A keen eye for visual design and the ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable guides. We invite you to share existing work samples (e.g., job aids, infographics, or video clips) that showcase your ability to communicate effectively and maintain brand standards.
  • Meticulous Communicator: Exceptional written communication skills with a focus on clarity, brevity, and professional tone.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets to track compliance and progress.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A desire to learn from the team and grow your skills in adult learning theory and design, helping evolve the learning experience as CSG grows.
  • Tech Stack Mastery:
    • Required: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
    • Preferred: Experience with Docebo, Canva, Camtasia, Snagit, Vyond, or Parta.io
    • Bonus: Familiarity with the tools in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or other comparable programs
