The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage architectural projects from inception to completion, with a focus on scope, schedule, and budget management. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that projects meet both client expectations and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects through all phases, from initial concept development to construction completion, ensuring that project goals are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring regular communication.
  • Identify project risks early on, developing mitigation strategies and resolving issues to avoid disruptions in project timelines.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and presentations to clients and senior management, addressing project milestones, challenges, and next steps.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and zoning laws throughout the project lifecycle, managing necessary permits and approvals.
  • Manage project team members, including mentoring junior staff and providing guidance on technical and project management aspects.
  • Lead the quality control process for design and construction documentation, ensuring that project deliverables meet both internal and client standards.
  • Direct the development and coordination of production drawings and specifications from programming and schematic design through construction documents, permitting, and construction administration, while maintaining technical oversight to ensure design quality, code compliance, and adherence to project standards.
  • Coordinate and participate in site visits and inspections to review the progress of construction and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Oversee financial aspects of projects, including tracking expenses, approving invoices, and ensuring the profitability of the project.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex projects, including adaptive reuse, renovations, and additions, ensuring the quality and accuracy of architectural documentation and deliverables throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to support proposal development for future projects and participate in client presentations as needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects while maintaining hands-on involvement in the development, review, and coordination of construction documents and technical architectural deliverables
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, resource allocation, and financial tracking for projects.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in architecture
