Job Description
This role focuses on servicing commercial auto and property insurance policyholders in a growing agency environment, with no sales or commission requirements. You will support existing customers through phone and email, handle a mix of licensed and non-licensed insurance activities, and help ensure policies remain accurate, compliant, and up to date. Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service to existing insurance policyholders, focusing on commercial auto and evolving property coverage products.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment, responding to customer questions and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support billing-related inquiries, including missed payments, payment arrangements, and general billing questions, ensuring policies remain in good standing.
  • Assist with policy renewals by reviewing coverage, updating information, and coordinating any necessary changes with customers.
  • Support onboarding of new policies by collecting required information, entering data accurately, and confirming policy details with customers.
  • Perform a mix of licensed and non-licensed responsibilities, including policy support, administrative workflows, and documentation updates.

  • Experience as a customer service representative (CSR), ideally within an insurance or call center environment.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle a high volume of calls and emails while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to manage billing questions, missed payments, renewals, and onboarding of new policies with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly to customers.

Work Environment
This role is based in a downtown office with subsidized parking, offering a hybrid work structure once training is complete. Training is 100% in-office to ensure strong onboarding and skills development. After approximately 2-3 months, the schedule transitions to a hybrid model, with about 50% of the time in-office, including designated team days. Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The team is small (around five people) and growing quickly, providing a close-knit, collaborative environment with significant opportunities for advancement. A dedicated home workspace free from noise and distractions is required for remote work days. The office building includes a 24-hour fitness center with treadmills, machines, bikes, free weights, locker rooms, and showers; contract workers can access the gym for a one-time fee. The workplace offers a casual dress code, typically jeans and a nice shirt. The organization emphasizes stability, internal mobility, and long-term development, with frequent company events such as on-site activities, family-friendly picnics, and holiday celebrations.
