Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Insurance Account Manager to join our team. The Insurance Account Manager is responsible for servicing and supporting client accounts, managing renewals, maintaining strong carrier relationships, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

This role is ideal for an experienced insurance professional who thrives in a service-driven environment and is committed to delivering accurate, timely, and proactive client support.


Key Responsibilities

Client Account Management

         Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts

  • Manage day-to-day service needs including policy changes, endorsements, certificates, and audits
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and service requests
  • Conduct policy reviews to ensure appropriate coverage and alignment with client needs

Renewals & Retention

         Manage the renewal process from start to finish, including data collection, submissions, quote review, and renewal presentations

         Coordinate with producers and carriers to obtain competitive renewal options

  • Support agency retention efforts by providing consistent, high-quality service

Carrier & Underwriting Coordination

         Work closely with insurance carriers and underwriters to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing and coverage terms

         Prepare and submit accurate applications, and support documentation

  • Monitor underwriting requirements and carrier guidelines to ensure compliance

Compliance & Administrative Duties

         Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in EPIC

         Ensure policies, endorsements, and documentation comply with state regulations and agency procedures

  • Assist with claim-related documentation and follow-up as needed
  • Maintain required licenses and complete continuing education as required

Collaboration & Support

         Work collaboratively with producers, account managers, and leadership

         Assist with onboarding new accounts and transitioning existing accounts

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

Qualifications

Experience

         Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance account management, client services, or a related insurance role

         Experience servicing commercial and/or personal lines accounts

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail

Education

         Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, Marketing, or a related field

         Equivalent insurance industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Licensing & Certifications

         Active state insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health, as applicable)

         Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or CRM are a plus

Skills & Competencies

         Strong written and verbal communication skills

         High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and professionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and insurance agency systems
