Job description

Overview: TheInstallation Service Manager leads the installation of large-scale industrialdoor systems requiring complex mechanical, structural and site coordination. Thisindividual will lead the field installation team and is accountable for safety,quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities spanpermitting and licensing through delivery and installation, with domestic andinternational travel required.

EssentialDuties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the field team.
    • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor and manage performance for team leads and installers
    • Foster a safety-first culture and a positive and welcoming work environment.
  • Safety and quality
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, site safety standards, quality requirements and contract specifications.
    • Document, investigate, and resolve warranty-related issues.
  • Installation management
    • Forecast and manage field expenses to maintain profitability targets.
    • Optimize installation execution and service delivery.
    • Prepare accurate installation estimates and quotes.
    • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, equipment vendors and internal teams to meet schedules and site requirements, e.g. safety training
    • Manage workforce planning and workload distribution to meet project scope/timelines.
  • Stakeholder communication
    • Resolve project and customer issues through effective communication and problem solving.
    • Maintain regular communication with field installers and provide technical support.
    • Attend meetings at the corporate office as required.
  • Compliance
    • Liaise with local and state union representatives to ensure labor agreement compliance.
    • Integrate union labor requirements for each state into project planning.
    • Coordinate and maintain state specific licensingand compliance for each project.ordinatewith Project Managers, clients, and cross-functional teams
    • Trackproject progress and make adjustments to meet deadlines
    • Overseematerial and equipment deliveries
    • Maintainaccurate daily job site logs and reports
    • Promotea positive and safety-driven work environment
    • Trainand onboard new part-time installers and subcontractors
    • Monitorfield expenses and manage inventory to support profitability
    • Providetechnical support and troubleshooting for product and warranty issues
    • Collaboratewith Product Managers and the PMO office for process improvements
    • Serveas a backup to the Director of Installations
    • Supportand train Service Partners
    • Attendquarterly corporate meetings and participate in install team events
    • Ensurecompliance with quality standards and safety regulations
    • Allother duties as assigned

MinimumRequirements
HighSchool Diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor's degree in constructionmanagement, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalentcombination of education and experience in construction supervision, fieldoperations, or installation project management will also be considered
Musthave a valid driver's license
Mustbe able to pass a background check and drug screening
Provenexperience managing and training field or construction teams
Backgroundin construction, installation, or site services
Experienceoperating equipment (telehandler, forklift, scissor lifts, and more)
Familiaritywith Microsoft Windows operating systems
Previousexperience with scheduling, resource allocation, and vendor coordination
Experiencecreating and maintaining job site documentation
Strongleadership and team management skills
Excellentinterpersonal and communication abilities
Highlyorganized and self-motivated
Abilityto read and interpret measurements, drawings, and basic blueprints
Abilityto perform layout providing critical starting points
Technicalaptitude for using basic hand and power tools
Ableto work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
Strongattention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and process improvement

TravelRequirements

Upto 50% travel required, both domestically.
PhysicalResponsibilities & Work Environment
Abilityto stand for 6-12 hours at a time
Liftand carry 50-75 lbs. regularly
Usesteps, ladders, and tools requiring fine motor coordination
Workin both indoor and outdoor environments, including active construction or jobsites
Exposureto noise, machinery, and variable temperatures depending on project location
