Commercial electronic security is seeking an experienced Installation and Technical Manager to lead our field installation and service operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically strong, safety-focused professional ready to build and manage a high-performing technician team.
Position Summary

The Installation and Technical Manager oversees the planning, scheduling, quality, and technical direction of all installation and service work performed by field technicians. This role is directly responsible for technician performance, training, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction on every job site.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and support a team of installation and service technicians across all active job sites.

• Review project scopes and ensure installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and all code requirements.

• Conduct field quality inspections and technical audits; resolve escalated technical issues.

• Partner with Sales and Operations on project timelines, labor estimates, and installation feasibility.

• Enforce fleet, tool, and vehicle safety standards in coordination with company safety policy.

Installation management and coordination.

Inventory management oversight and order processing. 

• Manage technician performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions in partnership with HR.

• Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and product training.

• Monitor job costing, labor efficiency, and installation quality metrics; report to senior leadership.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical technical escalations as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial electronic security, fire alarm, or low-voltage systems installation required.

• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role leading field technicians.

• Strong working knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and fire/life-safety systems.

Networking of CCTV systems and cloud management systems

Able to read and understand blue prints, NEC and NFPA codes.

Project Management and Projections. 

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Valid driver's license with an clean driving record.

• Ability to pass all background checks and drug screening consistent with company policy.
