Their main responsibilities include generating leads, qualifying prospects, making sales presentations, and supporting the sales process under the guidance of senior staff. Trainees receive training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management to prepare them for a full sales role. To thrive as an Inside Sales Representative Trainee, you need strong interpersonal communication skills, basic sales knowledge, and at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and proficiency in Microsoft Office are typically expected, and some employers may prefer candidates pursuing or holding sales-related certifications. Persistence, active listening, and the ability to build rapport over the phone are standout soft skills in this role.
