Job description

Rolled Metal Products, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join the team at our Lebanon, TN service center.

Summary of Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. The Inside Sales Representative must also achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team at Rolled Metal Products, Inc. (RMP).

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Inside Sales Representative. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

  • Increase sales and provide support for current customer base as assigned.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
  • Promptly respond to Request for Quotes (RFQ) for current and potential customers, utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Communicate leads to Outside Sales Representatives and work as a team to increase profitable sales.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by the Inside Sales Manager, i.e., orders booked, customer outcalls per day, inventory management, and generation of new customers and profitability.
  • Execute order entry in computer system immediately after an order is taken and provide sales acknowledgments to the customers.
  • Proactively review open orders and advise customers of delivery status changes.
  • Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.
  • Manage inventory levels.
  • Manage account services, utilizing CRM, through follow-up and quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain existing product knowledge and sales materials.
  • Communicate effectively with other Inside Sales Representatives, Outside Sales Representatives, management, and other co-workers.
  • Prepare and present various sales status reports to Management, upon request, including activity, follow-up, closing, and adherence to targets.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field of study
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Marketing experience and/or knowledge with the ability to recognize sales opportunities
