About the Role

A-JAX Company is looking for Inside Sales Representatives to join our Jacksonville team. This is a true sales position focused on building customer relationships, growing existing accounts, developing new business, and helping customers find the right products and solutions.

You’ll work closely with Outside Sales Representatives and serve as an important point of contact for customers. From handling inbound inquiries to proactively identifying additional opportunities, you’ll use a consultative sales approach to understand what customers need and recommend solutions that add value.

This is not a traditional customer service role. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable selling, asking questions, identifying opportunities, and taking ownership of revenue growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Handle customer inquiries received by phone, email, fax, and in person
  • Work closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support customers and achieve sales goals
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and profitable manner
  • Make outbound calls to current and prospective customers to develop business and achieve revenue goals
  • Build and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Prospect for new business opportunities
  • Develop strong technical and product knowledge
  • Use a consultative selling approach to understand customer needs and make value-added recommendations
  • Ask questions to uncover the customer's overall needs and identify additional opportunities
  • Proactively recommend additional products or services when appropriate
  • Work with sales, sales support, and management to achieve growth initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of competitor products, pricing, capabilities, and value-added services
  • Manage open orders and follow up to help ensure deliveries are made as committed
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and track results in the CRM system
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM activity
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • At least 2 years of wholesale or industrial sales experience preferred
  • Business development experience is a plus
  • Proven experience in a sales-focused role, including prospecting, account development, or revenue generation
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving sales approach
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions and identify what a customer actually needs
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture of a customer's project and anticipate additional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable making outbound sales calls and developing new business
  • Organized and able to manage multiple customer inquiries and open orders
  • Ability to learn technical products and make appropriate recommendations
  • Comfortable using a CRM to document customer interactions and follow-up activity
