The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals for both client and represented manufacturers. Key responsibilities include the leadership, management, planning and execution of the inside sales team ability to meet or exceed set goals.

Job Description

Leadership

  • Annually, participate in strategic planning processes that advance 3-year strategic goals
  • Quarterly, participate in progress update meetings with the strategy team
  • Monthly, participate in leadership team meetings, providing updates on the team's performance to company goals

Inside Sales Management

  • Develop, execute and review metrics assigned to inside sales members
  • Monthly coach each inside sales member
  • Ensure each inside sales member has a development plan and training to proficiently execute their job
  • Conduct new hire training
  • Hire/fire inside sales staff
  • Conduct performance and pay reviews
  • Hold department meetings

Inside Sales Planning & Execution

  • Work with product stakeholders to develop and execute manufacturer business plans
  • Meet or exceed established manufacturer goals
  • Manage inside sales department workload distribution
  • Ensure proper personnel and phone coverage for each manufacturer
  • Effectively organize and prepare for key manufacturer visits to the territory
  • Attend key customer functions and industry network activities as a representative of the organization
  • Effectively diffuse customer issues with solutions
  • Ensure Inside Sales captures necessary information in CRM
