Position Summary Information

The Community, Work, & Learning Department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a part-time (.50 FTE), three-year grant-funded Program Manager, Experiential Learning Innovation position.
This three-year grant-funded position supports programs that further St. Catherine University's ongoing effort to make experiential learning a central part of the student experience. By training student leaders to facilitate meaningful community-engaged learning (CEL) and reflection in The Reflective Woman (TRW) course, managing TRW community-engaged learning, and creating instructional resources for faculty, the Project Manager will prepare the university to continue to expand this work and deepen the impact of experiential learning in CORE courses.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Launch, refine, and expand the CEL Ambassador cohort, an opportunity for advanced undergraduate students to build their social justice leadership skills by leading CEL in TRW classes.
  • Design and implement a training program for CEL Ambassadors that develops them as social justice leaders and prepares them to facilitate orientation and reflection for first-year students.
  • Recruit and supervise 5-10 CEL Ambassadors and a CEL student coordinator
  • Build a self-sustaining model for the program so that by the end of the grant period, more senior Ambassadors can recruit and train new Ambassadors.
  • Collaborate with Coordinator, the CEL Ambassadors, and the student coordinator to ensure mutually beneficial work across 20+ TRW sections collaborating with 3-4 community partners.
  • Lead project team
  • Responsible for direct coordination of TRW sections that are collaborating with the Welcoming the Dear Neighbor? Project (about 10 sections)
  • Coordinate presentations by Welcoming the Dear Neighbor? student research assistants.
  • Collaborate with Associate Director to design and implement ongoing program evaluation and assessment.
  • With guidance from Associate Director, design print and online resources to help faculty embed CEL and/or RCI into their course
  • Co-lead professional development for Core faculty
  • Manage collection of artifacts for grant assessment and reporting
  • Collaborate on presentations, publications, and reporting related to the grant
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience leading, teaching, and/or training undergraduate students
- Project management experience
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Demonstrated interest in social justice and/or community engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with grant writing
- Experience with program or course assessment
- Experience teaching St. Catherine University students, particularly in The Reflective Woman course

Compensation:
Annual wage is $25,700 - $30,800 for a .50 FTE depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
