We are in search of a proactive and knowledgeable IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the development, implementation, and operational excellence of our core infrastructure systems. Responsibilities include managing a high-performing team, championing pivotal initiatives, and maintaining secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure across our global operations. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead and mentor the infrastructure team, providing technical mentorship, workload prioritization, and professional development.
• Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to ensure clear paths for handling blocking issues and smooth service delivery.
• Coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets related to infrastructure services.
Strategic Delivery & Roadmap:
• Lead key infrastructure initiatives, including but not limited to system upgrades, migrations, acquisition integrations, and technology modernization projects.
• Define and contribute to the infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and new technologies.
Infrastructure Management:
• Manage the composition, implementation, and continuous operations of core infrastructure, covering servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
• Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and capacity across environments.
• Maintain standardized processes across nVent sites to ensure consistent infrastructure operations.
Security Operations & Compliance:
• Run vulnerability remediation processes, including planning and patching across infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate responses to infrastructure-related security alerts and incidents, working with the Cyber Security team and other collaborators as necessary.
• Address and remediate audit findings, ensuring infrastructure controls align with corporate and regulatory standards.
Resilience & Documentation:
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities remain tested and operational.
• Maintain detailed infrastructure documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and asset inventories.
YOU HAVE:
• Ideally 15+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial position.
• Shown success in leading cross-site infrastructure projects and distributed teams.
• Deep technical expertise in:
1. Server Environments: Windows (Active Directory, domain services); familiarity with Unix/Linux a plus
2. End User Devices: Windows PC, Virtual PC (W365), iPhone, End User Management platforms such as SCCM and InTune.
3. Collaboration Suites: M365 (Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Office)
4. Networking: LAN, WAN
5. Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
6. Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS
7. Storage & DR: Backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Demonstrated understanding of IT security principles and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and lead in a collaborative environment.
• Experience working in a large global enterprise a plus

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
$105,000.00 - $195,000.00
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
