Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure builds and operates large-scale cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment. The SPLAT team owns critical platform services that provide secure API routing, service registration, traffic management, private connectivity, authentication, and operational controls for OCI services.

SPLAT sits in the request path for more than 300 OCI control planes and processes hundreds of billions of API requests each month. Our engineering work spans high-throughput Java services, distributed systems, networking, security, observability, deployment automation, and production operations.

We are looking for a Software Engineer 2 with strong programming fundamentals and an interest in backend and cloud-service development. You will contribute to existing services, write production code and tests, investigate defects, and learn how cloud services are deployed and operated.

You do not need prior expertise in distributed-system architecture or system design. We expect you to take ownership of well-defined problems, ask questions, apply feedback, and develop increasing independence with support from experienced engineers.
