Job Summary:
Merge IT is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite support at a one-person site in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves handling day-to-day IT support needs in a Windows environment, focusing on hardware replacement, device imaging, and user support.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide deskside support for end users including IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities
โ€ข Reimage and deploy PCs as part of refresh or break/fix processes
โ€ข Perform hardware troubleshooting and replacement for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
โ€ข Support users with Office 365 applications and Windows OS issues
โ€ข Document incidents, service requests, and actions taken using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
โ€ข Collaborate remotely with team members across other locations to resolve complex issues
โ€ข Perform basic hands-and-feet network support: check switch power status, create console sessions as directed
โ€ข Ensure timely and professional communication with end users and team leads
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments
โ€ข Proven hands-on experience with Office 365 at the deskside level
โ€ข Basic knowledge of device imaging, reimaging, and PC deployment best practices
โ€ข Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
โ€ข Familiarity with Windows Autopilot deployments
โ€ข Hands-and-feet network support (switch checks, console sessions)
