Our commitment is to empower individuals on their path to recovery, and we are looking for professionals who are passionate about mental health support and crisis intervention.

About the Organization

Located in Rochester, New York, Infinity Behavioral Health Center is a community health clinic focused on delivering compassionate care to those grappling with mental health issues, particularly addiction. Our team works collaboratively to provide a supportive environment where clients can find the tools to lead healthier lives. We are committed to excellence in mental health counseling and place a strong emphasis on culturally sensitive care, ensuring that services are tailored to the diverse needs of our community.

Work Environment

This position will be entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while providing essential mental health services to individuals in crisis. Our innovative use of telehealth technology facilitates connection, ensuring that clients can receive timely support and advocacy, regardless of their geographical location. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough crisis assessments and provide immediate therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
  • Engage with clients in distress, actively listening and offering guidance to help them cope with their situations.

  • Formulate and implement personalized crisis intervention plans that align with best practices in mental health counseling.
  • Conduct follow-up sessions with clients to monitor their progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Utilize evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies to support individuals in high-stress situations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and remain abreast of the latest trends in crisis counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMHC with our organization, you will primarily work with individuals facing substance misuse challenges, emotional crises, and trauma-related issues. Our clientele includes diverse populations requiring acute mental health support. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap for individuals experiencing crises, fostering hope and recovery through empathetic counseling and evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
  • Minimum of three years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally competent care to clients from various backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals in distress and build therapeutic rapport.
  • Proficiency in assessment and a strong understanding of ethical practices within crisis counseling.
Preferred Experience
  • Additional training or specialized certifications in trauma-informed care and crisis counseling.
  • Experience using telehealth platforms for counseling sessions.
  • Familiarity with community resources and referral networks pertinent to mental health services.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $95,000 annually, with opportunities for salary adjustments as your skills and contributions to our mission advance. Alongside a supportive salary, benefits include:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for employees and their families.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage to safeguard your practice.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer contributions to assist in your long-term financial planning.
  • Generous paid time off policies, including vacation days, sick leave, and holiday pay to promote a healthy work-life balance.
  • Life and disability insurance for added financial security.
  • Access to an employee assistance program to support mental health and overall well-being.
