Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Superintendent to oversee field operations, manage crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial construction and maintenance, is a hands-on leader, and possesses advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily field operations on industrial construction and maintenance projects.
  • Lead, schedule, and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and project plans.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity and project schedules.
  • Perform quality control inspections and ensure work meets customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues to minimize downtime and delays.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and field personnel.
  • Complete daily reports, job documentation, and project updates.
  • Mentor and develop field employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of industrial construction, maintenance, or manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, equipment installation, and maintenance.
  • Extensive fabrication experience, including layout, fitting, and welding.
  • Advanced hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems and low-voltage electrical controls.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to project sites as required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and shutdown schedules when project demands require.
