Location:
West Michigan Rubber
767 W Hackley Ave Muskegon, MI 49441
Hours Required:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
General Summary:
Performs core warehouse functions (receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping) and manufactures hose assemblies. Responsibilities include inventory management, order fulfillment, material handling equipment operation, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
Inventory Management
  • Performs cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Conducts stock replenishment by moving products to pick locations
  • Maintains proper storage organization to optimize warehouse efficiency
  • Reports inventory discrepancies and damaged goods to supervisor
Assembly Operations
  • Assembles and tests high- and low-pressure hose assemblies according to specifications
  • Inspects assemblies for quality and completeness before delivery
  • Tests assemblies to ensure they meet required specifications and safety standards
Warehouse Operations & Safety
  • Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Maintains work area in a clean, organized, and hazard-free condition
  • Follows all safety procedures and protocols to prevent workplace injuries
  • Adheres to written and oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job assignments
Order Fulfillment & Packaging
  • Picks stock from inventory locations accurately according to order specifications and pick lists
  • Packages products securely using appropriate materials and methods
  • Inspects packages for quality and completeness before shipment
  • Applies proper routing information and shipping labels to all outbound packages
  • Completes carrier-supplied documentation accurately for all shipments
Supplemental Job Functions:
  • Participates in cross-functional training within the branch to develop versatile skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • High School diploma or GED, prefer Associates Degree
  • Previous operational work experience
  • Previous experience working on a computer
