OXARC, a regional leader in industrial gas and welding supply distribution, is seeking a dedicated Welding Sales Specialist/Productivity Specialist to join the team at their Seattle, WA branch.

If you have experience in the welding industry and a background in sales, as well as a valid driver’s license, OXARC wants to hear from you!

In this role, you will be responsible for the outside sales of large capital welding products and services. You will act as the expert in the area of welding processes, applications, and the economics of welding. You will work with programs, equipment, and supplies to increase customer efficiency and optimize their performance.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree Welding (AAS), Military weld training, or bachelor’s degree (Weld Engineering) preferred. CWI or CWE certification preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the welding industry (preferred)
  • 3+ years’ sales experience in a relevant field or industry (preferred)
  • Occasionally be required to lift to 80 pounds
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience, training skills for in person, verbal and written training objectives
  • Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with existing customers on the sale of large capital welding processes and applications.
  • Increase sales and profit margin through efficiency analysis and engineered cost reduction programs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries to provide product and application training.
  • Work closely with Outside Sales to uncover opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
  • Demonstrates products to new account customers.
