Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proper cargo securement using chains, and other required equipment according to safety standards and regulations.
  • Handle OOG loads requiring specialized knowledge of weight distribution, route planning, and maneuvering.ย 
  • Coordinate with yard dispatchers, operators and warehouse staff to ensure smooth pick-up and delivery operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.ย 
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and transportation documentation.
  • Adhere to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding schedules, delays, and any issues encountered during transport.ย 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in heavy haul, OOG, or specialized transportation is required.
  • Proven experience with cargo securement using chains and binders.
  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with appropriate endorsements.ย 
  • Strong understanding of load weight distribution, securement regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Ability to operate various equipment such as flatbeds, step decks, and lowboy trailers.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a logistics team.
