Description:

The Warehouse Worker performs various functions, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The warehouse worker is a dedicated team player who ensures accurate and timely shipping and receiving of tires.


Key responsibilities include the following.

  • The company may assign other duties.
  • Responsible for the flow of product in and out of the tire warehouse as delegated by the Warehouse Supervisor or Distribution Center Manager
  • Inventory control, accuracy of recording data, and understanding of basic computer skills
  • Follow and implement company rules and procedures
  • Pick and verify orders
  • Unload/load containers and trailers
  • Sort and place tires on racks or shelves according to organizational standards
  • Label pallets and shipments
  • Respond to and serve customers while maintaining a high level of service
  • Ensure the packaging slip and bill of lading are duly signed before the tires are shipped
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping racks, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and always organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness
  • Adhere to required safety standards by wearing the proper safety equipment and following appropriate safety protocols
  • Assist in quarterly physical inventory counts
